About Paul

Paul Tauterouff is a highly respected guitarist, live sound, studio recording engineer and guitar teacher living in upstate New York.

His melodic, yet fiery lead guitar style and fat, warm guitar tone have garnered him praise from other pros in the industry.

He has been playing guitar since 1979, and is influenced by guitarists Michael Schenker, Gary Moore, and Glenn Tipton. He has played and mixed countless shows in the tri-state area over the past 25 years.

Paul's latest CD "Audio Chocolate" was released on September 7th, 2010 to positive reviews. To listen to sound samples from Audio Chocolate Click Here.

In 2007 Paul was hand-picked by Tom Hess to become co-manager of the Music Careers Mentoring Program.

In late 2007, Paul's song "Frozen Heart" was released on the Chronicles: City Of Sound compilation CD with 10,000 CD's distributed worldwide.

Guitar Player "Frozen Heart" received a positive review from editor-in-chief Michael Molenda in Guitar Player Magazine's August 2007 issue.

Michael said, "Tauterouff does everything right on this rather conventional, yet buoyant and melodic instrumental. His tone is fat and present, he makes judicious use of harmony lines to keep things interesting, and he holds back on the jamming until the end. It's a nice lesson in restraint, and it's also tasty as hell."

Paul has been actively involved in instructional guitar products, most recently Innovative Arpeggio Phrasing for Metal Players.

Paul is also available for studio work, private lessons & webcam lessons. For up to date information on the latest happenings visit the "News" page.

Paul would like to extend a special Thank You to his good friend Jeff Rogers at Alltech Solutions for his great web design and also for his friendship and support over the years.
